We are proud that this organization is nearly 80% youth driven, as we strive to instill in our young people the need to give back to the community. Through the ability to educate and inspire young people in volunteering. We are extremely grateful for the many local schools, community organizations and civic groups supporting our "Sponsor A Backpack" program. Each year, through the generous financial support of many individuals we have been able to deliver life-saving goods to those in need.

GBLL is very proud of the fact that local businesses are becoming more involved in supporting our efforts. During our collection days local restaurants have provided food to feed our volunteers, local business have provided us dumpsters, and port-a-pots, and local businesses have provided us boxes and other supplies for sorting and packing the donations. Last year several companies decided that instead of giving their key employees or key clients food baskets or flowers, they would sponsor a backpack for a homeless person in each of their names through our Sponsor a Backpack program. What a great idea!
